Falling from around 200 feet from the rock cliffs formed by the Kumaradhara River, the massive cascade can be a sight of wonder from amidst the misty hills and lush green forests. The falls is one of Coorg’s unspoiled beauty hidden in the lap of the Western Ghats and offers a unique escape to nature- enthusiasts, shutterbugs and trekkers. While you can watch from the viewpoint, you can also walk down the stairs to reach a point that is closer to the falls. Strolling through the trees and mountains with cool mist, the roaring sound of the water is a breathtaking experience, you may find several birds and butterfly species and small animals roaming in the area. You will be tired on the way up, but you would agree it was worth the struggle. You can avail car parking facilities available at the site. Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary, close to the Mallalli Falls, is also a preferred tourist destination for trekkers and bird lovers. A visit to the nearby villages after the falls also sounds like a pleasant idea. There are a few basic refresh food and parking spots at the falls.
