3-4 kilometers from the Kodaikanal town, we have Kodaikanal Pine Forest which is the most beautiful place in the town where you can get lost into the beautiful world of nature. Pine trees are arranged on a parallel with each other in rows in a uniform spacing, making it look like a fairytale world!! These pine trees were growing since 20 to 30 years and it is the most famous attraction of Kodaikanal that serves as film shootings and photo shooting place. The trees of Pine Forest are well spaced out and well-formed and give an aesthetic and holy appeal. The trees which lined up both side of the road lead you to the center of the beautiful Kodaikanal Pine Forest that will leave you awestruck. The way the sunlight streams in from the thick dense leaves forming beautiful and attractive patterns over the land that is carpeted with dried pine leaves; cool breeze flowing along with the smell of soil, rustling of soft leaves of pine trees in the woods makes it the ideal place for having a morning without disturbing Kodaikanal’s sounds. Snacks counters and horse riding session is also arranged at the entrance and in the vicinity of the pine forest.
