Loam's View Point is one of the most arresting road-side viewpoints on the way to Valparai, giving a birds eye view of the 40 famous hair-pin bends that serpentine through the Anamalai Hills. Set along the pollachi-Valparai road, this point has been christened after Colonel Loam, British officer and instrumental in the construction of the mountain route way back in the era when British ruled this land .
