Perfect for adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts alike, Harihar Fort is a place where nature comes to life! To ensure you and your companions' safety on this trek it is highly advised that you travel with an established trekking organization with experienced leaders with years of experience who boast proven success on this trail. Harihar Fort presents its climbers with numerous steep, 80-degree rock-cut steps resembling stone ladders that must be navigated carefully, particularly during monsoon season when moss growth may render them slippery. To safely traverse these steps, it is advised that they wear trekking shoes that provide adequate grip to their feet along with trekking poles; additionally, layers should provide warmth as temperatures will drop substantially as you ascend higher up the trail. While on your trek, you will encounter lush green paddy fields, small streams and waterfalls. As you ascend higher, your surroundings change into dense forest before eventually arriving at a barren plateau of the fort. Therefore, you must pack at least 2 litres of water as well as energy snacks in order to remain hydrated and nourished throughout your trek. Once at the top of a fort, you will be amazed by its sheer size and breathtaking vistas. The landscape itself is captivating, while the entrance opening into a cavernous chamber provides another memorable sight.
