Description

Kemmangundi Hills is situated at an altitude of 1430 meters and must be in the bucket list of any enthusiastic trekkers for its unchanged cold and foggy climate with the rich geographical treasures. This lush green landscape adorned with small hills and tall trees pictures a plot of any horror story or mysterious treasure finding tales.

Once your stomach is satisfied with a healthy breakfast, you can break the musings of your stillness and tiptoe into the wild terrain. The walk will let you feel the quietness of the jungle during your effort to climb onto the steep trails and brownish ground passing through enigmatic lines of trees and bushes. Eventually, you reach to the top after 4 kms of wandering. The panoramic snapshots of the Westerns Ghats and terrestrial green will elevate your senses to its peak.

The troop will then descend with a destination, Hebbe Falls which passes through thick forest of Bhadra Tiger reserve; it brings the chance to spot many wildlife creatures. The picturesque view of this multi tiered fall would be visible from the distance. As you reach to the bottom, the enormousness of Hebbe Falls would compel you go near it and play in the shower of clean water. After the exhausting but soul-stirring experience, the troop will come back to base where you can have dinner around the campfire before you fall into the deep sleep.

In the morning, you shall get a chance to know the history of Belur Temple during your visit. This spiritual sightseeing will probably be the perfect culmination of your eventful tour.

Om Prakash

It was a great experience to visit Kemmangundi after hearing such good things about the place. We even got to visit the Belur Historical Temple which is a very popular place and also has a lot of historical significance. Two day treks are always fun and this package had a lot of other interesting things apart from the basic trek. At just Rs. 3300, I can’t think of any better alternative where I could have spent money and availed such goodness. I loved the concept of Escape2Explore, this is the first time I used it. But now, if I have to go for an adventure trek, this is the place I will be coming back to. All the information is neatly organized on the site. Moreover, their guides and people who manage are quite friendly and help us whenever needed. I must say that most of this trek was fun because of the people from Escape2Explore who were there for us whenever we wanted. more...
