About Mekedatu Room Stay :
Mekedatu is located along Kaveri on the border of the Chamarajanagar and Ramanagara Districts. From this point, about 3.5 kilometres downstream, the river Kaveri flows through a deep and narrow gorge. Mekedatu Sangama is the confluence of two rivers Arkavathi and Kaveri. It's around 2 hours’ drive from Bangalore. Arkavathi will be a small stream for most of the year and will have some water during the monsoons. Mekedatu means 'goat's leap' in Kannada. At Mekedatu Falls, the Kaveri runs through a deep, narrow ravine of hard granite rock. The river, more than 150 meters wide at the confluence (at Sangama), flows through the hardly 10-meter-wide gorge at Mekedatu. At Mekedatu Sangama, the Kaveri River is more than 150 meters wide at the confluence and flows through a narrow 5-10 meter gorge at Mekedatu. Legend has it that the channel was so narrow that sheep would jump across, hence the name Mekedatu (Meke = sheep, Datu = cross in Kannada). Chunchi Falls is an almost 50-foot-high cascade of falls fed by the river Arkavati. Chunchi Falls lies en route to Mekedatu and Sangama.

Day 1
Mekedatu Room Stay
01:00 PM: Guests who have opted for the Transportation variant will be picked up from Bangalore.
03:00 PM: Arrive at the homestay and settle into your rooms, taking a moment to relax and unpack.
03:30 PM: Embark on an exciting jungle safari and coracle ride. Explore the rich wildlife and serene beauty of the jungle, experiencing the unique coracle boats on the river.
06:00 PM: Return to the homestay and relax with hi-tea, enjoying light refreshments and unwinding from the afternoon's adventures.
07:30 PM - 08:30 PM: Gather around for a bonfire and engage in indoor and outdoor games. Enjoy the warmth of the fire and the fun of various games with fellow guests.
08:30 PM - 09:30 PM: Delight in a buffet dinner, savoring a variety of delicious dishes and winding down for the evening.
10:30 PM: Retire to your rooms for the night, ensuring a good rest to be ready for the next day's activities.
Day 2
Mekedatu Room Stay
06:30 AM: Wake up early and go for a nature walk to the Madivala Shivalankari Temple. Enjoy the fresh morning air and the peaceful surroundings as you explore the temple area.
08:30 AM: Return to the homestay for a buffet breakfast. Enjoy a hearty meal, then pack your bags and prepare for the next part of the trip.
09:30 AM: Head towards Chunchi Falls, a 15-kilometer journey. Upon arrival, take time to capture beautiful moments at the picturesque falls.
11:30 AM: Continue to Yadamaranahalli Lake, a 20-kilometer drive. Reach the lake and engage in kayaking, enjoying the water activities in the serene lake setting.
01:00 PM: Check out from the homestay and end your trip, reflecting on the wonderful experiences and memories made over the two days.
