Life is unpredictable and we understand that sometimes you have to cancel or change your trip dates and we endeavour to make it as easy as possible for you. However, please understand that we plan everything including guide fees, permits, accommodation and rations in advance. Therefore, any cancellation means inconvenience and certain losses to the people involved in various stages of the programme. Keeping that in mind, our cancellation charges are as below -

• Cancellations before 30 days from the start of the event: Get a monetary refund with 15% of cancellation charges.

• Cancellations between 30 days and 15 days to the start of the event: 50 %refund.

• Cancellations less than 15 days to the start of the event: No refund.

• Cancellations will be accepted only by email.

Note: The Himalayan Daredevils reserves the right to cancel a program before departure in the event of logistical problems arising due to natural calamities, strikes, wars or any other circumstances that make the event inadvisable. In this case, we will refund 50% of the event fees.

We plan itineraries based on the information available at the time of planning and in rare circumstances, they are subject to change. If the itinerary is changed or delayed due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, transportation delays, government intervention, landslides etc., we will always aim to give you the best experience possible. However, The Himalayan Daredevils not be held responsible for the cost of delay or changes.

The Devalsari Trek is a calm and not very-walked path in Garhwal, Uttarakhand. It starts from Thatyur village, which is 55 kilometres from Mussoorie. This trek takes you through thick oak and rhododendron woods, nice green fields, and old Garhwali villages. The main part of the trek is the lovely Devalsari forest, known for many kinds of life and a Lord Shiva temple, which is very important to the local people. The trek moves up to Nag Tibba, a high peak in the lower Himalayas. From there, you see great views of Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Black Peak, and more snowy mountain ranges. A key draw for the Devalsari Trek is its special plants and animals. It's a great place for bird and butterfly lovers, with many kinds living in the wild woods. History of Devalsari Trek

The story of the Devalsari Trek goes deep into the culture and spiritual ways of the Garhwal Himalayas. The name "Devalsari" comes from a holy temple for Lord Shiva, used for prayer for ages. The people think the temple was made by holy men and villagers long ago, and it's a key place for trips by the faithful. The temple has many stories, showing how much the people love their gods and nature. In history, the Devalsari area was a centre for both faith and making a living. The woods around Devalsari were seen as holy, where villagers did rites and took care of the land with a lot of care. Stories told by mouth go on about wise men who prayed in these woods for godly help and peace. Nag Tibba: Also known as "Serpent’s Peak," Nag Tibba is a top spot for walks in the near hills. It stands tall at 3,022 meters and is the highest peak in its part. You can see far views of big hills like Bandarpoonch from here. Many take an extra trip to Nag Tibba when they are in the area for extra fun.

Mussoorie: Often called the "Queen of Hills," Mussoorie is 55 kilometers from the start spot. This famous hill place draws people with its old homes, a busy main road, and big views. Spots like Kempty Falls make it a good spot to relax after a walk.

Dhanaulti: This quiet hill spot is 30 kilometers away. It's less packed than Mussoorie and gives calm views, deep woods, and spots like Eco Park. It's a must for those who love quiet.

Thatyur Village: Thatyur marks the start of the walk. It's a sweet village known for its wood homes and fields. Guests often stay to see how people live, eat local food, and enjoy simple mountain life.

Kempty Falls: Near Mussoorie, this is a hit place for those who've just walked. The falling water and green trees make it a good spot to hang out, take pics, and rest.

Surkanda Devi Temple: A holy place at 2,700 meters near Dhanaulti. This temple is very special and gives wide looks at both the hills and the valley.

Tehri Dam: About 70 kilometers away, this tall dam offers fun like boat rides. It’s a good pick for mixing walks with water fun.

Spring brings bright flowers and cool air. It's a good time for those who love birds and butterflies.

2. Summer (May to June)

Summer days are long and clear. It might get hot, so start early in the day.

3. Monsoon (July to August)

Rain makes paths wet and risky. It is not the best time to walk.

4. Autumn (September to November)

Autumn brings cool air and clear skies. The trees turn gold and views are at their best.

5. Winter (December to February)

Snow turns the area magic in winter. It's great for those good at walking, though it gets cold at night.

How to Reach the Walk Start

1. By air

The nearest airport is about 110 kilometers away. From there, take a bus or cab to get closer. The ride gives nice views.

2. By train

The train station is about 95 kilometers from the start. You can take a bus or cab from there. The drive is about 3-4 hours.

3. By road

You can take a bus or cab from close spots. The road trip is full of big mountain views. The last stop cars can go is Thatyur, where the walk starts.
