Description

This enchanting mountain around 422km from Bangalore, stands overlooking Western Ghats in Shimoga. Kodachadri has earned the name as the Cherrapunji of Karnataka, as it receives the highest rainfall, making the place look more enchanting, pure and unsullied. Being the highest mountain range in the Shimoga district, Karnataka at an elevation of 1343m, makes the Kodachadri trip aÂ hot spot for activities like trekking, forest exploration, etc.

In case of unforeseen, Weather conditions or government restrictions, permission changes, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases, we will try to provide an alternate feasible activity or Postpone option. However, no refund will be provided for the same.

Anytime More Than 24 Hours Prior To Departure - Full refund, 10% cancellation charges apply.
You agree to indemnify yourself for the risks involved in the outings varying from destinations to destinations.
In case of damage or loss of any of the equipment or Items of Escape2explore, the responsible member has to bear the cost.
We have designated pick up and drop points, make your own arrangements of transports to the desired pick-up point accordingly.
We are dependent on third party transport agency; we don't have direct control over the vehicle, vehicle drivers. Issues pertaining to pick up and drop times or quality of bus are quite rare. If you are too specific please check before registering.
Escape2explore is not responsible if any injuries or accidents occur during the event.
Any client consuming Alcohol, Misbehaving, causing delay during the event will be terminated from the event without any prior warning and no refund will be given. Such clients should arrange their own transport to way back, Escape2explore does not hold the responsibility of terminated clients.

Kodachadri is simply awesome with a lot of greenery around. The trip was finely arranged except the confusion regarding transportation, which was supposed to be delayed for an hour, but the supplier was good enough to inform us in the afternoon only regarding the delay, except that, the trip was really fun filled.

I was happy that they had pick up and drop off at Bangalore. I was travelling alone so but I never felt any uneasiness during the entire trip. The journey was also peaceful. The food they provided was decent even though minimal. Very sacred location since it has a lot of pilgrims of Mookambika comes to visit Kodachadri hills.

Great peak with so many amazing views of the surroundings. Trek was hard and the pathways were slippery too. Nagara Fort visit was good. Food was okay and camping was also better than what I expected.

Good organizers were there with us from the booking stage to the final day of the Kodachadri Trek. Though we had done many treks before, but this was just the best one. Me and my friend went together after a planning of more than three months, and Escape2explore came out to be a great support, who was updating us regarding the departures all the time, and made this possible without any delay. The thick greenery is the main attraction in the region and the peak offers a decent challenge too. We can see a lot of bushes and meadows on the way uphill. But the views from the top made my day. Splendid it was. Two days went so fast. Met a great team from Bangalore and had so much fun at the campsite as well.

I went to Kodachadri with my colleagues and it was really amazing. We went during a rainy day and the trails to the peak were dangerous and slippery. But we enjoyed that adventure very much. I am recommending it to all of you. Such a beautiful place too… worth spending money…

An unforgettable trekking expedition was the one to Kodachadri. My first trek in South India and I had a lot of happy moments throughout. People were so nice and the guide was experienced one, also booking it through Escape2explore was a good idea for me, as I had no clue regarding how to go about it, I checked with a lot of portals but got the best price here .Nice trip.

The trek was awesome and it could be a little difficult one for the first timers. During the uphill firstly we came across thick forests (there were leeches) and then a waterfall which was of nearly 90-100ft. We got into the falls and played for sometime. Loved the waterfalls. After the waterfalls, the trek was on an uphill which wasn't that dense, for about 2-3 KMs and then comes the Jeep route from which we can finally see the kodachadri peak. we have to walk through that jeep route for nearly 2-3kms to reach the base of kodachadri peak. From there the peak is of 2kms. here we will be coming across rocky road at first and then we will be walking on the edge of the hill which is covered with fog and we finally reached the peak. it was an awesome view from.the top. stayed at the peak for about an hour and started back. we came back from the jeep route. The organisers Sonu and saqib Were too patient, cooperative and experienced.

Awesome trekking. nice arrangement from travel, food and accommodation to trekking experience. the trek was moderate and challenging due to heat. the buttermilk available at regular intervals kept us moving. the forest and waterfalls were refreshing, especially thanks to ESCAPE2EXPLORE and our guide sonu.

. I think it's a paisa vasool trip. In terms of basic amenities, they arrange it pretty nicely. The falls is so refreshing that you don't feel like moving forward from there. Guides are motivating and understanding at the same time, they will help you in adjusting during the whole trip. Girls can travel alone it's undoubtedly very safe. The view from the hilltop is worth, I am sure I would definitely go for more trips and this was one of the lifetime experiences!

It was a treat to be a part of Kodachadri Trek team member. It was my first trek and it was a lifetime cherishable one that I had with my friends and others who had joined me in the trip. The adventures that were found around every corner on this trekking were beyond my expectations.All thanks to our fantastic trek leaders – sonu, nadeem and saqib for being very supportive and encouraging. There was great motivation from them to push all of us to reach the next level and kept us engrossed in the trek. Everything was organised perfectly from the pick up to every detail. Amazing Experience, booked via Escape2explore. Trekking all the way across mountains, valleys, waterfalls, clouds to watch the sun kissing the water of an Arabian Sea is mesmerising. A must go place! We started our trek early in the morning and the journey through the jungle and waterfalls was breathtaking! There were a few steep climbs too with a scorching sun above us, but all of it is worth when you reach the peak. I would suggest to rest at the peak till evening and take a jeep ride back down, coz it is one hell of adventure! On the way back, park for a while to witness the mesmerizing sunset. It will soothe you of all the pain. The next day we had Nagara Fort on the way back. A picturesque location, i must say! With so many pics, burnt calories and smiles on our faces we returned with a bag full of memories :)

So this was my first. And I was a little apprehensive about the arrangements. But as the whole journey unfolded bit by bit, I was getting more confident about everything they had planned in the itinerary. And every arrangement right from travel to food to stay it its perfet. And just have to mention about some life long friends I made in this trek. All of this apart from the beautiful trek Kodachadri is. And the breathtaking view from the top.

It was an amazing experience altogether.. this was my first trek and I was very sceptical about reaching the peak, but I did reach the peak comfortably...The sunset from kodachadri is the best sunset I've seen so far...the organizers sonu ,saqib and nadeem were very fantastic..all the basic amenities were taken care of...One must definitely visit this place..Worth it

This was my first long overnight trek, and that too the first time I have booked it online. Though I usually go alone, this being a new experience for me, I decided to bring a friend along, and we both just had an awesome time here at this trek! The guide, sonu, was really good, and so were the stay and the food. In fact, next time, I won't even hesitate to go alone, because of how safe the entire experience is.

Kodachadri was my first trek and it was one such trek that couldn't be better. First we started with the forest trek, to the Hidlumane falls and then ascending to the Kodachadri peak. The experience was beautiful. The fun part was the rollercoaster ride in the Jeep. All I can say is, this trip will forever be remembered thanks to the coordinators for this amazing time. I will never forget this trek and being my first trek and being a solo traveller I had a great experience.

This was my second trek and I enjoyed a lot. Trek assimilates thrill, adventure, serenity,and life time experience. Stay and vehicle was standard not so luxury but was comfortable. Kodachadri is a small village so don't expect lavish stay and food. Just go for this amazing trip and gain lifetime experience in the lap of nature. This was my first time when I went along with random people outside and trust me I didn't felt alienated. Trek length is almost 15 KM one side including 2KM down to base. After a long and tiring trek you will experience insane Jeep ride while descending from the base to your stay which will amaze you for sure. Overall this is trek is amazing and worth experiencing it.

The whole trip was just amazing. Right from the scenery, the guides Saqib and sonu, to the homestay, the peace and tranquility over there, the clouds literally passing through us, everything about the trek makes you want to do it again - maybe in a different season to see how different the place looks. This was my first trek and my first solo trip. It completely changed my view of a lot of things. The group that I went with, and (the organisers) deserve all the credit for that. The trek was moderately difficult, in the sense that there were stretches where you could almost walk while there were portions where you literally had to climb on all fours. But the views of the lush green mountains studded with tiny cottages and topped with fluffy clouds was more than enough reward for our labours. The waterfall in the middle of the trail was a lovely surprise. After every few steps as I turned back and looked in any direction- up, down, around- I could see a completely different picture. The weather played a lovely accompaniment to the landscape, as the sun played hide and seek with the clouds, we had enough warmth and respite from the heat. The sunset was a perfect curtain drop to the climb. To top it off, the moon rose on the other side as the sun set! Not to forget, the roller coaster ride on the jeep on the way back was fun and a wee bit scary. The bonfire at the homestay added some adrenaline to the depleted stores after the trek. The short trip to the Nagara Fort the following day was the cherry on the icing, a very quiet relaxing view. The drive back to the city was filled with soothing views of the mountains, and before we knew, we were back in the city! Goodbyes were tough, but we had to say them, even though we didn't want to, because the bunch of strangers I had joined on the bus on Friday already felt like long-time friends on Sunday evening! To sum it up, it was a hectic tour, but the memories I took back with me left me wanting more. Especially thanks to our guide sonu.

Went to kodachadri trek . The first impression as soon I met our outdoor guide was great. He is an amazing guy and a great person. We have always been guided by him properly and he has arranged everything with utmost care. The Tempo traveller, homestay and the trek are upto the mark. The only thing which needs a little improvement is Food at homestay as well as hill top. Apart from that, I had a great experience and met some amazing people in this journey. A trip to remember always!!!

Trek was amazing!!!! I enjoyed every bit of starting from the ice breaker round to the bus journey. This is a lifetime experience. I can’t believe it was so amazing, much more than I expected. Starting from a foggy day crossing small water outlets to grow in depth of long trees. passing through the midpoint it is totally rocky. We can really feel the crush of trekking. Once we reach the top. This is a #mustgotrek for all adventurous people out there !

This was my 2nd SOLO trek through Escape2explore. One hell of a crazy trek this one. The views were just splendid, and the organisers had it all charted out, and were extremely helpful. An initial route through the forest is what we go through which is not that tiring, but after this stretch we move on to the most difficult part of the trek, where we come across the Hidlumane falls and we need to trek in quite a difficult terrain. Post all this stressful climbing, whatever the view you get is unmatched, all that pain, even though there physically, would have vanished mentally.Best to trek during monsoon or after the monsoon has receded to an extent as the hills are completely covered in green until the eyes can see. It's a treat for the eyes to feast on watching the western ghats in full glory.

What an amazing experience it was!! Started as an individual trekker when I boarded the bus and ended up with a great company of 20!!! The trek was simply great and satisfying… enjoyed every moment of it. Weather god helped us all along; no rain at all. Reaching the peak through rocky terrain, some plains and through jungle was worth every calory burnt in the process. The most interesting and surprising part was the jeep ride from the peak to bottom in pitch dark and dense forest. Actually there is no road to drive. You just have to believe the jeep driver.The trek was actually made enjoyable by 3 great trip leaders..sonu, nadeem and saqib. They were extremely good organizers making sure everyone is actively participating and no one left behind, no one quits so much that even two 9 yr old kids from our group completed the trek.Overall it was a great experience and would love to go back with this bunch again to some other trek!! ALL THE BEST GUYS!

I went on a 2 day trip to Kodachadri with this group and they were excellent at everything, from transport to stay to trek assistance. The bus they arranged was quite comfortable with push back chairs and functioning speakers. We reached Kodachadri home stay the next day morning and were served with hot breakfast and steaming tea. We then headed off for trek. We were given enough to enjoy at the Hidlumane falls. Kayaking in the back waters of River Sharavathi was icing on the cake. The best part of it all is they brought us back to Bangalore by stipulated time the next day. I faced a bad experience with another group who dropped 10kms away from my home at 3am. Hence, I really appreciate escape2explore for being the nice people they are!

If you have got a free weekend, indulge in this two day outing which will rejuvenate you like nothing else. Kodachadri is an amazing place for trekking as well as camping, both of which you will do in this package. Campfires are always a good experience and we lighted up during the first night. All the members enjoyed it by singing, dancing and playing fun games with each other. The next morning we went for kayaking which is one of my favourite water activities. Kayaking with friends will never get boring no matter what. I was really impressed with the lunch and dinner provided to us even at a location like this. It was hygienic, fresh and sufficient for all of us. However, the best part about this whole package was our visit to the Nagara fort, it looks magnificent and worth your time. The best way to go there is to take this package which includes a lot more than just a trip to Nagara fort.
