About Gudibande Fort Day Trek:
Gudibande is a 17th-century fort built by the local ruler Byre Gowda. Key highlights of Gudibande: Easy to moderate hiking opportunity, doable by everyone in the family. Shiva temple: Lakshmi Ventara Ramaswamy temple is said to have been built during the Chola Dynasty. The climb is some 1000 stairs and ideally would take around 45 minutes to the top. It promises a short trekking experience. And the view from the top is worth all the sweat and effort. One can see the entire town of Gudibande and capture it in one frame. On 15 January 2023, the iconic face of “Adiyogi – the Source of Yoga” was unveiled by the Honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka. Adiyogi stands 112 feet tall, representing the 112 ways he offered for one to attain well-being and realise their ultimate nature.
