It is a good trekking point in the Kabbalu forest, with historical references to Pandavas during exile. It is one of the best treks for beginners, with the trail being easy to moderate till the peak. Bheemana Kindi trek starts from a village called Kanchana Halli near Kabbala village. This entire region comes under the Kabbala state forest. Loaded with interesting historical stories and legends, Kunti lost her way in the forest while Kunti brought food to Bheema. To rescue her, Bheema hit the topmost cliff with his mace and paved an entry through the arch for his mother. However, Geologists believe the arch was formed due to weathering and erosion. There are lots of butterflies fluttering around. Keep your eyes peeled for the big blue butterfly that flutters around there. It is the Blue Mormon, one of India's largest butterflies and Maharashtra's state butterfly.
