About Makalidurga Sunrise Trek, Bangalore

Makalidurga Fort stands at a height of 1,117 meters on a granite hillock, just 60 km away from Bangalore. The peak appears like a valley surrounded by chains of hills close to Ghat Subramanya.

This enthralling trekking experience will begin from Makalidurga base camp. The trekkers will be served by a rugged and steep route to go up top. The ear-soothing sound of the darkness with your leg in the bushes makes this travel an exciting one. You will be learning many signals to keep yourself away from any danger. Once you are at the top, the scenery of the night amidst the sound of fireflies and wild insects will always be on your mind. The campfire will be set and around it, you can either choose to sleep or stay awake contemplating and waiting for the sunrise.

During the dawn period, you will wake up to the exquisite view of a scintillating sunrise which rejuvenates your inner self. The panoramic view of the green landscape would be too charming while you descend to Doddaballapur. After the breakfast, you can leave for Bangalore.

• Arrive at the pick-up point from 11:30 pm till 12:30 am (depending upon the pick-up point you choose) and gear up for an amazing journey from Bangalore to Makalidurga.

• Reach the Makalidurga trek base.

• Be ready for your amazing 4 km Makalidurga.

• Once at

• Timings for meals will be specific which will be informed to you by the guide.

• Do not expect luxury as we will traverse pristine and untamed nature.

• Do pay attention to the guidelines given by the instructor.

• Avoid using earphones during the trek as they might hinder your audibility.

• The above pickup and timings have been selected based on the Bangalore traffic Jam and the timings will help the participants reach the base camp on time and maintain the trek's schedule.
