Instead of rushing between palaces and markets, you spend a morning outdoors on a guided ride. Before you start, our team walks you through the basics: how to sit, hold the reins and stop your horse. Instructors stay with the group, so first-time riders can begin at a walking pace and move up only when they feel ready. Riders with some experience can ask for a faster pace where the track allows. The ride suits couples, friends, families with older children and small groups. You don’t need any riding experience. Wear closed shoes and comfortable long pants, and carry water and sunscreen. You can pair the ride with a Mysore day trip, a visit to Chamundi Hills or a stop at the palace. If you book a full-day package, pickup from Bangalore can be arranged. Slots depend on the weather and the number of riders, so book a few days ahead, especially for weekends and holidays.Venue: Mysuru.
